from Chapter - 01 the VOLUMTRIC SYSTEM ~ Concerning the ideogrammatic representation within the building. Arising out of a combination of several 'lower order' elements of an organisation of architectural elements as it assumes a 'meta' linguistic posture. |
from Chapter - 02 THE SUB-BASEMENT PLAN ~ A transformation marked within the grid. The principle translation between the outside (nature) periphery (singularity) inside (complexity-the 'I' represented) of the building represented using geometric-algebraic means. |

| In keeping with the cubist-purist principles, Ideogrammatic structures may be embeddd, interpenetrated, juxtaposed or they may simply pass through one another to give raise to the specific 'syntax' of this work.
The building could be read in a way similar to Heiroglyphic scripts. And therefore meaning of the work is inextricably tied to the codes of inner coherence, represented above, rather than any arbitrary contract. It follows the tenats of plastic representation, in other words. It is non-affirmational. The building is no more than a gathering of several ideogrammatic characters organised into recognisable patterns. |
Two distinct systems of proportions could be imposed on the column grid of the sub-basement plan to comparable degree of accuracy: both accomplishing the same transition. The contrast in significance of both may be noted. Indexing as it does a mutual antagonism representing a typical Modernist condition. Perhaps a relation deliberately left un-resolved. * analysis roughly based on Matila Ghyaka's analysis of the human face |
